Hannah Höch

Hannah Höch

This artist was also suggested from Anne in one of our studio days. I found this artist's work really interesting to look at, I really like her use of photomontage I thin k it is clever and works well I like how her work is very mood-board like.

Her pieces of work focus on collage and in most of her work it tells a story on its own just by visually communicating and this is the sort of aesthetic I'd like for my newspaper and for my campaign I want it to have a show don't tell kind of movement to it so viewers can work out the story.

Her work also closely focuses on eyes and closeups of eyes and I have a thing for eyes so of course I could really connect with her work, with the use of different colours going on suggesting many moods and movements blended onto one page almost like from bottling up to breaking out.  I just love how abstract her work is as it intregiued me straight away and made me think wow this is interesting.

Again another Picasso aesthetic here, I really like her work with how she's created her imagery it is again unique and quirky and you can tell she's put her own take on the imagery, which again is something I'd hope to endeavour in this project and in years to come. I actually recommended this artist to a friend of mine whose work is very similar to this aesthetic.

This piece, is very bazar with the choice of colour and the idea of legs on the bottom of the page, again it's different which is why I added this image she created on this piece but it doesn't quite speak to me for this project sadly because I feel this piece is more futurist like and kinetic flowing movements, but I have looked at this theme many times so it may help me in the near future.
